Clovice's teaching philosophy:
"...For cello, I teach technique and production of tone. I spend a good deal of time on this before introducing students to books of music and repertoire. I write my own exercises tailored to individual student's needs.
For composition, I teach the acoustics of instruments, including analog and digital synthesis. It is important to teach the classics, so I have students understand everything from Bach to Varese and beyond...."
