Steven's teaching philosophy:
"...I believe in teaching an intuitive thought process for guitar wherein the student begins to see overall patterns of playing various forms of music on the guitar as well as identifying minor, major, seventh suspended, etc. chord phrasing. I also believe in teaching economy of motion so students don't waste effort with unnecessary finger movement. I believe students should learn primarily on acoustic guitar first before moving on to playing an electric guitar as distortion can often encourage a level of sloppiness. Finally, I believe students should spend equal time mastering playing with and without a pick...."
