Midwest School of Music has provided a variety of teaching opportunities in the Indianapolis area since 1997. Many of our teachers have been with us since we began the program, and we believe this is because they value our service.
Because the typical private student is worth more than $900 a year to an instructor, we believe that it makes sense for teachers to promote themselves in as many ways as possible. Midwest School of Music advertises and promotes extensively to locate students who are an appropriate match for its teachers.

When our teachers have openings, Midwest School of Music advertises on Google, on Yahoo, on MSN, in Indy Moms, Backpage, on yellowpages.com, on superpages.com, local.com, and through blogs and social networks. We also promote to schools, neighborhood organizations, churches, and synagogues.

Midwest School of Music had its beginning as a provider of in-home music lessons in 1997. We work with our teachers to fill their schedule in the most efficient manner for them. We are available to discuss lessons with potential students from 10am-6pm during the week and on weekends, so that the instructors can focus on teaching. STUDIOS
Teachers who prefer to provide lessons in their studios can increase their student base via our advertising and promotions. While instructors are teaching, we answer inquiries and direct parents and adult students to the most appropriate teacher for them. SCHOOLS
Midwest School of Music provides private and group lessons in dozens of Indianapolis area schools. We carry a $1,000,000 liability policy and the Workman's Compensation policy required by many schools, and run the necessary background checks to work with public and private organizations. As a Midwest teacher you may be offered an opportunity to teach in a school.
COMMUNITY FACILITIES
Midwest School of Music has a contract with the Greater Indianapolis YMCAs to provide private and group lessons. We also provide lessons to the community at the Orchard School. We routinely seek other community venues. ONLINE
For those teachers with high speed internet, we offer online teaching opportunities. GIGS
Midwest School of Music assists its teachers with gig opportunities and will publish lists of teachers who are available for gigs in its new section. NATIONAL CONSERVATORY
Midwest School of Music also sponsors the National Conservatory a non-profit organization that has a 501c3 certification from the IRS. The National Conservatory can often use facilities at little or no cost because of the non-profit status. It is also well positioned to accept tax deductible contributions.
