By providing a variety of support services, we are able to develop student rosters for teachers while they focus on teaching. Many parents and adult students prefer having a discussion with a qualified placement director to assist with teacher selection. Parents are also assured that the teacher has been selected based upon ability, background checks, and reference checks. We are available to answer questions and create appropriate matches when parents or adult students contact us about lessons. This also allows us to screen callers and eliminate those who are not serious candidates for lessons.

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently focusing on our local Midwest market and are primarily looking for new music teachers and students in Indiana.

How it Works

schoolofmusic.com's degreed musicians take phone calls from prospective students and parents to help them select the best teacher for their circumstances and location. Many people prefer this type of assistance and tend to agree to lessons only after they get it. We carefully match the student with the teacher to ensure a long relationship. There is no need for you to accept calls from people who might not be appropriate for you.

schoolofmusic.com pays teachers twice a month as lessons are provided. We do not wait until we are paid.

In addition to advertising and promotion, we enforce student policies, answer parent questions, send invoices, and handle collections. When teaching for us, you are covered by a $1,000,000 liability policy and workman's compensation. We retain a percentage of the tuition in exchange for these services.

You may also teach for other organizations or independently when working for us. We believe you should take every opportunity to fill your schedule.

We conduct background and reference checks before placing you with any students. Many families require this and we absorb the expense.
